Jaydan Kamason could become the latest Manchester United teenager to make his debut with the first team. The youngster could get the nod this Sunday against Brentford.

The Premier League giants returned with a healthy 3-0 lead on aggregate from their Spanish trip after beating Athletic Bilbao by three unanswered goals in the first leg of the Europa League semi-final.

However, they have less than 72 hours to restore their energy and take on Brentford in an away league contest on Sunday.

Manchester United set for heavy rotations vs Brentford

Therefore, Ruben Amorim has no choice but to rotate his lineup and reserve some of his key players for the decisive second leg against Athletic which will take place at Old Trafford next Thursday.

In his pre-match press conference, the Portuguese tactician revealed that Noussair Mazraoui won’t take part in the weekend contest as he’s in dire need for rest, and the same goes for any other player who could risk an injury.

Hence, Amorim clearly intends to shake up his lineup and make wholesale changes, but his limited options could force him to turn to youngsters once more.

According to Manchester Evening News journalist Samuel Luckhurst, the manager’s words indirectly suggested that Kamason is in line to make his senior debut.

As the source explains, United will travel to London without a senior right-back/right wingback, as Diogo Dalot is injured, while Mazraoui will be dropped.

Patrick Dorgu could be a solution, but it should be noted that the young left wingback struggled when playing on the right side in his senior debut. Hence, Kamason would be a more natural solution.

The 18-year-old has made 31 appearances between the club’s U21 and U18 sides this season, contributing with two goals and six assists. It has been said that Amorim and his staff are really excited about the young right-back.

The manager has already handed senior debuts for a host of teenagers this season, most notably Ayden Heaven, Chido Obi-Martin and Harry Amass.
