Recopa: Jorginho trains with squad and could be a Flamengo 'reinforcement' against Lanús | OneFootball

Flamengo could receive a boost for the Recopa Sudamericana decider against Lanús, with Jorginho back training and in contention to be named in the squad.

According to Coluna Do Fla, the Italo-Brazilian midfielder rejoined team-mates on Tuesday 24 after a muscular injury, working in the gym and on a pitch at Ninho do Urubu.

His return has been positively assessed, and a final call on his involvement is due from Filipe Luís after Wednesday 25's session.

Jorginho last featured for Flamengo in 2026 in the Supercopa do Brasil against Corinthians, then remained under the club's medical supervision.

Bruno Henrique and Wallace Yan also should be available after progress with pubic pain and a muscular issue respectively. The only expected absentee is Saúl Ñíguez, who is recovering from surgery on his left heel.

Kick-off is at 21:30 Brasília time on Thursday 26 at the Maracanã.
