According to Goal.com, refereeing expert Khalil Jalal says Al-Hilal’s first goal in their 2-2 draw with Al-Taawoun was illegal.

The Roshen League fixture at Kingdom Arena on Saturday finished 2-2 in round 27. The opener arrived on 43 minutes when Ivorian forward Mohamed Kader Miti cut in from the left and his shot beat goalkeeper Mailsom.

Jalal, of Thamania channels, argues the strike should have been ruled out because Kalidou Koulibaly fouled Mohammed Al-Kuwikbi at the start of the move.

He criticised the VAR officials, saying they should have summoned the referee to disallow the goal, but no review followed.

The result keeps Al-Hilal second in the Saudi Pro League on 65 points, five behind leaders Al-Nassr and ahead of Al-Ahli on goal difference.
