Andreas Schjelderup is preparing to leave Benfica for Parma, with talks focused on a loan until the end of the season. The Norwegian winger is increasingly close to a winter exit.
According to Glorioso 1904, the move only became feasible due to a crucial regulatory detail. The permanent sale of David Jurásek freed an international loan slot at Benfica, without which the youngster's departure would have been bureaucratically impossible.
Parma signalled strong interest early and have been negotiating to take the player on loan. The Italian club want the deal structured as a loan with an option to buy, protecting a potential future investment.
The precise figures remain unclear, including the value of any purchase clause and whether it would be mandatory. Benfica had been aiming to bring in between 15 and 20 million euros for Andreas Schjelderup.
This season for Benfica, Schjelderup, valued at 14 million euros, has made 21 appearances, 11 in Liga Portugal Betclic, six in the Champions League, three in the Taça de Portugal and one in the Taça da Liga. Across 969 minutes, he has scored two goals and provided three assists.
