Reis joins Girona on loan | OneFootball

Vitor Reis has joined Girona on a season-long loan deal, subject to international clearance.

City’s young centre-half will now link up with our CFG sister club for the 2025/26 season, with their La Liga campaign set to begin at home against Rayo Vallecano on Friday 15 August.

The 19-year-old Brazilian youth international joined City from Palmeiras in January 2025, arriving in Manchester widely considered to be one of the best young defenders in South America.

He committed to a four-and-a-half-year deal with the Blues until the summer of 2029, but the next stage in his development will see him become part of Michel’s squad for the duration of the new campaign.

The centre-back has played four times for City, starting FA Cup wins over Leyton Orient and Plymouth Argyle, before coming on as a late substitute for Josko Gvardiol in the 2-0 Premier League triumph over Leicester City.

This summer, he was part of the City squad that travelled to the USA for the FIFA Club World Cup and was in the starting XI for the 2-0 victory over Wydad in our opening game in Group G.
