Remember him? Héctor Herrera returns to Houston Dynamo

Héctor Herrera has returned to Houston Dynamo, the American club announced this Wednesday. The 34-year-old midfielder ends his stint with Toluca, in Mexico, where he played for the last two seasons.

While playing for the Mexican side, alongside former Sporting player Paulinho, Herrera won the Clausura and Apertura titles. He has been capped 105 times for Mexico and played 34 matches for Toluca.

The midfielder returns to Houston Dynamo, where he previously played between 2022 and 2024. Before moving to the United States, he represented FC Porto for six seasons, making 245 appearances for the Dragons, and also played for Atlético de Madrid.

In Houston, he signed a contract valid until the end of 2026, with an option for one more season.
