An up-and-coming talent tipped for the very top at La Liga giants Barcelona made his presence firmly felt in the club’s opening fixture of pre-season.
The player in question? Pedro ‘Dro’ Fernández.
The name of youngster Dro has emerged as a prominent one in the chatter surrounding Barcelona over the last couple of weeks.
This comes after word stemming from the Blaugrana’s training ground confirmed that the attacker, at just 17 years of age, was lighting up pre-season with Hansi Flick’s squad.
As much culminated in Dro being afforded a place on the plane to Asia for Barca’s tour of Japan and South Korea.
And as alluded to above, on Sunday, the club’s supporters were afforded a first glimpse at the remarkable abilities boasted by Dro.
Introduced off the bench at Noevir Stadium Kobe, the winger/attacking midfielder rounded out the scoring in a 3-1 Blaugrana victory, courtesy of a brilliant volleyed effort from the edge of the penalty area:
