A World Cup winner with Italy, a two-time Champions League winner with AC Milan, and a three-time Serie A champion, the defender has truly won it all.

On his 49th birthday, it’s worth remembering one of the most complete centre-backs of his generation. A master of tackling, wrapped in elegance.
Nesta retired from playing at the age of 37 and has since managed teams in both the USA and Italy.
He is currently the head coach of Serie A side Monza, having been reappointed last month, just seven weeks after they initially sacked him.
