Rennes and Lens compete for Midtjylland’s Oliver Sørensen | OneFootball

According to a report from Foot Mercato, RC Lens and Stade Rennais are set to compete over FC Midtjylland midfielder Oliver Sørensen (23).

An international with the Danish youth teams, Sørensen made 41 appearances last season with his formative club and registered 10 goals and five assists, including a goal and an assist during the club’s unsuccessful UEFA Champions League qualification campaign.

This season, Sørensen has already been involved in four games and has played the full 90 minutes in both of Midtjylland’s matches against FC Hibernian, as they progressed past the Scottish club in the UEFA Europa League qualifiers (winning 3-2 on aggregate).

His performances have caught the attention of Lens and Rennes, who are both preparing to make an offer for the player valued at between €6-8m. Foot Mercato explains that this should be enough to convince the Danish club to part ways with their academy product.
