The French midfielder will soon move to the Italian capital to begin a new chapter in his career.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport, the deal is one step away from closing. Roma director Florent Ghisolfi has accelerated in the last few hours and now the club are just waiting for Rennes’ response which, barring sensational twists, will give the green light to closing the deal.

Roma raised the offer further, reaching the 20 million euros requested by Rennes president François Pinault, the same amount that the French club had invested a year ago to take him from Lorient, the team that was the midfielder’s home for fifteen years.

The green light is expected to come in the next hours, with Le Fee being allowed to travel to Rome for the first days of preseason training which is scheduled to start on Monday July 8th.

The player will then undergo his medical in Italy and sign a 5-year contract worth around 2.5 million euros per season.
