Rumours of a potential move for Alisson to Juventus have surfaced in Italy, raising fresh questions about the long-term future of Liverpool’s No.1. According to reports from the original source, Gazzetta dello Sport, the Brazilian goalkeeper has emerged as a serious target for the Turin club as they look to rebuild a more reliable defensive spine.
Juventus are reportedly considering a major reshuffle in the goalkeeping department. With doubts surrounding their current options, the Italian giants are exploring the possibility of signing a proven elite goalkeeper. In that context, Alisson’s name has quickly moved to the top of the shortlist.
The Liverpool goalkeeper remains one of the most respected players in his position worldwide, yet speculation persists that Juventus could attempt to tempt him away from Merseyside if the circumstances align.

Juventus are in a period of reflection as they attempt to reset their sporting project. The club hierarchy wants to avoid another false start and believes strengthening the goalkeeping position could be crucial to launching a new cycle of success.
The original report from Gazzetta dello Sport explains that dissatisfaction with current options has prompted the search for a more authoritative presence between the posts. Michele Di Gregorio has reportedly failed to convince the decision-makers, while Mattia Perin may seek a move elsewhere in pursuit of regular playing time.
Against that backdrop, Alisson has emerged as an appealing solution. His pedigree, international experience and reputation as one of football’s elite goalkeepers would provide immediate credibility to Juventus’ ambitions.
Liverpool, meanwhile, still consider Alisson a central figure in their squad. However, the Italian report suggests that there may be a window of opportunity if Juventus decide to pursue the transfer aggressively.
One intriguing element of the speculation is the involvement of Luciano Spalletti. The Juventus manager knows Alisson well from their time together at Roma, where the Brazilian goalkeeper first established himself in European football.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, that relationship could become a decisive factor if negotiations were to develop. The article states: “Alisson became an idea the moment the belief emerged that he might no longer be central to Liverpool’s project.”
The same report emphasises that Spalletti remains a long-time admirer of the goalkeeper’s qualities. Having worked with Alisson during his early development in Italy, the coach is fully aware of the Brazilian’s ability to transform a defence.
For Juventus, that familiarity could accelerate discussions if Liverpool were ever open to talks.
Despite the intrigue surrounding the rumour, the financial landscape will inevitably shape any potential deal. Alisson is currently under contract with Liverpool until 2027, meaning there is no immediate pressure on the Premier League club to sell.
The Italian report suggests the goalkeeper earns around €6 million per season. Juventus would reportedly be willing to match that level of salary if the opportunity to sign a world-class goalkeeper arose.
Crucially, the club’s internal wage structure would still allow the deal to fit within their limits. Juventus are said to have set a salary ceiling at €7 million, which means Alisson’s current earnings would fall comfortably within those parameters.
That financial flexibility could encourage Juventus to explore the situation further, although convincing Liverpool to part with such an influential figure would remain a significant challenge.
For Liverpool, Alisson continues to represent stability and elite quality in goal. Since arriving from Roma in 2018, the Brazilian has played a vital role in the club’s modern success, including Champions League and Premier League triumphs.
His command of the penalty area, exceptional reflexes and calm distribution have made him one of the most reliable goalkeepers in world football. In high-pressure matches, Alisson has often been the difference between victory and defeat.
Liverpool supporters therefore view the speculation with understandable scepticism. With a contract running until 2027 and no obvious reason to leave, any transfer would likely require a significant shift in circumstances.
For now, the Juventus links appear to remain at the level of early exploration. But as the Italian report concludes, if Spalletti were able to persuade Alisson and Liverpool showed even a hint of openness, “the road could quickly become downhill for Juventus.”
Until then, the Brazilian remains firmly Liverpool’s first-choice goalkeeper — and a cornerstone of the club’s ambitions.
