Chelsea have joined the hunt for Bayern Munich centre back Dayot Upamecano, who’s out of contract at the end of the season according to reports.
The Blues had a busy summer investing in the squad, and are reportedly expected to be quiet in the January window.
However, with the window fast approaching Chelsea as is often the case have been linked with a number of players.
The Blues have been linked with Noah Sadiki and Kees Smit, but whether they firm up any reported interested remains to be seen.
Centre back is an area that often gets spoken about, and Enzo Maresca publicly stated he wanted a replacement for Levi Colwill, who suffered an ACL injury before the start of the season.

Chelsea have been linked with Nottingham Forest star Murillo, and TEAMtalk have now reported they’ve joined the race for Upamecano.
The report adds Manchester City are also interested and both clubs have held conversations about his possible arrival on a free transfer.
TEAMtalk state Liverpool, Barcelona and Real Madrid are also aware of the situation surrounding the Frenchman, and it looks like it could be a fierce race for his signature if he decides not to renew his contract with Bayern.
Upamecano has been previously linked Chelsea, and has made 20 appearances in all competitions this season for Bayern, and has scored once.
Whilst Upamecano could potentially be part of Chelsea’s future, one player who is very much part of the club now is Wesley Fofana.
