Chelsea are reportedly offering more money than Barcelona to sign Bournemouth centre back Marcos Senesi.

The offer is reportedly being made to the player, because as things stand, he will become a free agent at the end of the season when his contract at Bournemouth runs out.

EXCLUSIVE! The 25 players on Chelsea’s summer shortlist for transfer targets and scouting REVEALED!!

Senesi has become a bit of a sought after talent, largely because he will become a free agent in the summer and obviously, that takes away any fee to actually sign him. But clubs will need to negotiate wages with the experienced defender, and Barcelona and Chelsea are apparently two clubs who are doing so right now.

Marcos Senesi in action

A fresh report from Tutto Juve provides the latest on the Premier League centre back. Barring a last-minute twist, Senesi won’t renew his contract with Bournemouth. This makes the 28-year-old a ‘real opportunity’ in the summer.

Chelsea and other Premier League sides have shown ‘concrete interest’ in him.

Chelsea are apparently offering better financial terms than Barcelona, to try and tempt the player.

But Senesi’s dream is to make a switch to the Camp Nou: ‘The city, the technical project, and the Blaugrana’s style of play are decisive factors in his choice.’ says the report.

He is willing to wait for Barcelona despite interest from Chelsea.

The link up last night in the Leeds game between Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro was mentioned in the post match presser last night. Rosenior chose to spread the praise out to the whole team, who had played some great football at times in the game.

Rosenior also spoke about Joao Pedro, and was able to be a lot more positive about the striker, who he said was a “top player” and perfect for his style of play. The Brazilian certainly has been superb in the last month, and seems to love playing under the new manager.
