Crystal Palace’s interest in Inter Milan centre-back Yann Bisseck has ramped up significantly, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport. The Eagles are reportedly ready to offer over €30 million—well beyond what any other Premier League club has done so far. Having lifted the FA Cup last season, Palace appear determined to reinforce their defensive line with proven European talent.
“In England, they’ve never stopped thinking about Yann Bisseck,” Gazzetta writes, “quite the opposite: the fan base of the German Inter Milan player has grown, and Crystal Palace has placed itself at the forefront.”
Bisseck, 23, arrived at Inter from Danish side Aarhus in 2023 for just €7 million. After a steady season in Simone Inzaghi’s rotation, his value has soared, with Inter now reportedly holding out for at least €35 million. While Bisseck is not officially on the market, Inter are open to talks—especially with Crystal Palace seemingly willing to pay.
The Nerazzurri previously rejected a €20 million offer from West Ham, banking on Bisseck’s growth. That gamble paid off. “Today Inter’s position has changed,” the report continues. “Yann isn’t officially a player on the market, but if offers matching his valuation are received, the club wouldn’t close the door to dialogue.”
Palace’s €32 million interest presents Inter with a significant profit margin. Combined with other recent sales—including Stankovic and Buchanan—the club could amass around €55 million in funds. This capital could be used to pursue replacements, with Genoa’s Koni De Winter identified as a prime target, along with midfielders like Frendrup and Parma’s Keita.
For Palace, Bisseck represents a coup: a young, composed ball-playing centre-back who has proven himself at the top level. His physicality, composure, and potential resale value align with the club’s recruitment strategy under Oliver Glasner. After their cup success, the Eagles appear keen to build on their momentum—and adding a defender of Bisseck’s calibre would be a serious statement of intent.

From a fan’s perspective, this Bisseck pursuit feels like the sort of ambition we’ve been craving. Winning the FA Cup was a massive moment for the club, but if we want to stay in that conversation, we need to back it up with serious signings—and this definitely qualifies.
Bisseck isn’t just a name. He’s someone who’s been developed in one of Europe’s most tactically disciplined leagues and has flourished. For a club like Palace, landing a 23-year-old Inter Milan defender—especially one they only paid €7 million for—shows that our scouting and ambition are both heading in the right direction.
That said, €32–35 million is a big outlay. We’d expect him to slot straight into the starting XI and bring leadership to our back line—especially with rumours around Marc Guéhi’s future. If Glasner believes Bisseck fits his system, fans will be behind it.
