Serie A pacesetters Inter Milan have developed a genuine interest in in-demand Hajduk Split center-back Branimir Mlacic.

According to FCInterNews, the San Siro giants must overcome several obstacles in order to sign the 18-year-old.

Barnimir Mlacic has emerged as one of Europe’s hottest prospects.

Indeed, the young defender has already cemented his starting spot at Poljud, making 14 league appearances this term.

Furthermore, Mlacic’s superb form for Hajduk has not gone unnoticed.

In addition to Inter, Real Madrid and Olympique Marseille have set their sights on the Croatian prodigy.

Despite his status as an emerging talent, Mlacic doesn’t have a representative.

Meanwhile, Inter and Hajduk have already opened talks over his potential transfer to San Siro.

Moreover, the clubs have agreed on a €5 million transfer fee.

However, Inter’s intention is to include Mlacic in their U23 squad coached by Stefano Vecchi.

Whether that would be an acceptable option for the player remains uncertain.
