Inter Milan face stiff competition from Napoli and Juventus in the race to sign Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini.
According to Corriere della Sera via FCInterNews, the 29-year-old is expected to leave the capital as a free agent in the summer.
Lorenzo Pellegrini is on the verge of ending his nine-year association with the Giallorossi.
Indeed, his contract expires in June, with Roma unwilling to offer him a new deal.
However, Pellegrini is one of Serie A’s highest earners, as he takes home a net salary of almost €12 million.
Therefore, Gian Piero Gasperini’s men are looking to cut ties with the Italian star.
Pellegrini has made 22 appearances in Serie A this season, netting three goals and providing two assists.
However, Roma are ready to release him on a free transfer.
Meanwhile, Inter, Juventus, and Napoli are keeping a close eye on Pellegrini’s situation at the Stadio Olimpico.
Despite falling out of favor in Rome, Pellegrini remains one of the most highly rated midfielders in Serie A.
Indeed, he would be a decent coup for the Nerazzurri, especially considering they wouldn’t have to pay a transfer fee.
