The kickoff of tomorrow’s Club World Cup round of sixteen clash between Inter Milan and Fluminense is at risk amid lightning warnings.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan and Fluminense will face off in the Club World Cup round of sixteen tomorrow.
Tomorrow’s match will determine which team advances to the quarterfinal. There, they will face the winner of tomorrow’s other round of sixteen match between Manchester City and Al-Hilal.
The Italian and Brazilian giants will play at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The scheduled kickoff time for tomorrow’s match is 3:00 PM local time. That would be 21.00 CET in Europe.
However, there is no guarantee that the match will go ahead at that time.
The weather could also become a factor in proceedings.
It is currently the middle of summer in the United States. Tomorrow’s match will take place in the middle of the afternoon, with temperatures in the mid-thirties Celsius and high humidity.
In addition to the issue of the heat, such weather also brings the risk of thunderstorms.
That proved to be an issue for yesterday’s round of sixteen match between Benfica and Chelsea at the Bank of America Stadium.
Lightning strikers in the area caused significant delays to the kickoff of that match.
If there is to be lightning within the vicinity of the stadium tomorrow, it could also delay the kickoff of Inter’s match against Fluminense.
