Juventus midfielder Teun Koopmeiners continues to attract Premier League interest amid an uncertain future at the Allianz Stadium. According to Calciomercato, Aston Villa and Manchester United are monitoring the Dutchman’s situation in Turin.

Koopmeiners, who joined Juventus from Atalanta in a €55 million deal in 2024, has tumbled down the pecking order. Indeed, manager Luciano Spalletti has deemed the 28-year-old surplus to requirements, with the club looking to offload their outcast in the coming weeks.

For context, Koopmeiners made just 18 Serie A starts last season. Despite amassing 33 league appearances, he failed to register a single goal contribution. As a result, Spalletti has put the Dutch ace on the chopping block, with Juventus hoping to at least partially recoup their investment.

Juventus cannot realistically expect someone to put €55m on the plate, given Koopmeiners’ underwhelming stint in Turin. However, the record-time Italian champions are open to letting their flop leave the club on loan, which could facilitate his exit this summer.

With Douglas Luiz back from a decent short-term loan at Aston Villa, Koopmeiners’ chances of forcing his way back into Spalletti’s plans appear slimmer than ever. Therefore, he’s equally interested in leaving this unhappy marriage, though Juventus won’t let him go for less than €30m.

Juventus’ demands should not deter Man Utd and Villa, especially the Red Devils, who are in the midst of a summer rebuild under Michael Carrick. Yet, it’s worth noting that they’re prioritizing a move for Real Madrid star Eduardo Camavinga.
