Manchester United have expressed an interest in signing striker Nicolas Jackson this summer according to reports.
The Blues are once again set for another busy summer and are closing in on their first signing after reaching an agreement with Ipswich for Liam Delap.
Chelsea could look to add another striker, whilst they are also looking for a centre back and right footed attacker to bolster Enzo Maresca’s ranks.
Chelsea will be delighted to have secured the signature of Delap given the competition they faced from the likes of United and Newcastle.
The Blues now have an alternative to Nicolas Jackson which they’ve lacked this season and the 22-year-old is a totally different profile, and gives Chelsea a much needed focal point and box presence.
Jackson has been at Stamford Bridge for two seasons now, but this season wasn’t as a good as his previous with just ten league goals, although he did miss two months with a hamstring injury.

The 23-year-old is vital to how Maresca plays and Jackson scored the all important second goal in the Conference League final to give Chelsea the lead.
There’s been talk of the Senegal international leaving and it’s believed a number of clubs are interested in Jackson.
However, Football Transfers have reported United have shown interest in a shock summer move for the Senegalese.
The report adds Jackson has been identified as an alternative to Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres, and United view him as a good foil for Matheus Cunha, but Chelsea are currently unwilling to negotiate a sale.
With Delap set to join Chelsea the Blues now have two strikers, but they could look to bring another in given Marc Guiu is likely to go on loan.
