Report – Pioli Pushing To Bring €20M Rated Inter Milan Star To Fiorentina | OneFootball

Stefano Pioli is reportedly pushing to bring Inter Milan midfielder Kristjan Asllani to Fiorentina this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInter1908.

Kristjan Asllani has come to the end of his third season as an Inter player.

The Albanian joined the Nerazzurri in the summer of 2022 from Empoli.

Whilst Inter had high expectations for Asllani when they signed him, the young midfielder has never quite managed to live up to them.

Asllani has had some positive moments in an Inter shirt. However, crucially, he has never looked like he can inherit a starting spot in holding midfield.

For this reason, it still looks very likely that Inter will look to move Kristjan Asllani on this summer.

And considering the former Empoli midfielder’s age, there is no shortage of transfer interest.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Fiorentina are foremost among the clubs eyeing up a move for Asllani.

La Viola have just confirmed the arrival of Stefano as coach for next season.

And one of the main priorities for Pioli’s team will be to sign a holding midfield.

Reuniting the new coach with AC Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer is one idea Fiorentina have had. However, the Algerian certainly will not come cheap.

Therefore, the Corriere dello Sport, Pioli would like for the Tuscans to sign Kristjan Asllani.

The Albanian is a player who Pioli had already tried to bring to Milan a few years ago.
