Reports in France claim that Paris Saint-Germain were left furious with Juventus general manager Damien Comolli after a breakdown in negotiations between the two clubs for Randal Kolo Munai.

Juventus spent most of the summer transfer window attempting to secure a deal with PSG that would see Kolo Muani return to the Allianz Stadium after a successful loan spell in the first half of 2025.

Report: PSG ‘furious’ with Juventus GM Comolli

The Bianconeri had made several attempts to bring the France international back to Turin, initially on loan with an option or possible obligation to buy, before later attempting to secure a straight loan deal without any buy options included.

In the end, Juventus moved in a different direction, landing on Lois Openda from RB Leipzig, who arrived on deadline day alongside Edon Zhegrova from Lille.

However, according to reports from l’Equpie and Calciomercato.com, PSG directors were left furious with Juventus, specifically with GM Comolli after the breakdown in negotiations for Kolo Muani, which saw him join Premier League side Tottenham on deadline day instead.

As per l’Equipe, PSG were always adamant that sending Kolo Muani out on loan would require an obligation to buy for a fee in the region of €60m, given that the Parisians invested around €90m to sign him from Eintracht Frankfurt two summers ago.

Comolli, meanwhile, reportedly attempted to change the terms of a deal with PSG to a €30m obligation to buy with €10m in bonuses in the event that Juve qualify for next season’s Champions League.

The attempted change in strategy reportedly annoyed PSG directors, and Wednesday’s reports go as far as claiming that Comolli has now made ‘enemies’ in Paris.
