Tottenham Transfer News: Antonio Nusa Emerges as Spurs Target After Norway World Cup Impact

Tottenham are casting the net wide in attack and Antonio Nusa is the latest name under serious consideration. According to Sports View, Spurs are weighing up a summer move for the RB Leipzig winger as Roberto De Zerbi looks to add pace, unpredictability and depth in the final third.

The report makes the situation plain enough. Nusa is a player Tottenham admire, a “fantastic” Norway international and a “great talent” who has enhanced his reputation on the World Cup stage. That matters. Tournament football can distort judgement, but it also shows who can handle pressure, who can carry a threat in big moments and who looks comfortable when the tempo rises.

Nusa has done that. The 21-year-old helped Norway knock Brazil out and now heads into a quarter-final against England with more eyes on him. He has one goal in five World Cup appearances, which is respectable rather than explosive, but raw output is only part of the story.

Antonio Nusa gives Tottenham tactical flexibility

This is where the fit becomes interesting. Nusa is primarily a left winger, but he can also operate on the right or through the middle. For a manager trying to build variation across the front line, that versatility counts. His strengths are clearly identified, dribbling, playing through balls and shooting from distance. In other words, he can destabilise a defence in more than one way.

The numbers are solid too. He scored five goals and four assists in 35 games last season, after posting five goals and eight assists in 2024-25. They are not superstar figures, but they suggest development and a player who still has room to grow.

Spurs transfer strategy points to more attacking arrivals

Tottenham have already been active. Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali have arrived in midfield, while Martin Dubravka, Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson and Jan Paul van Hecke strengthen the defence. That leaves attack as the obvious next area.

Rafael Leao and Savinho are also mentioned as targets, which tells you Spurs are looking at different profiles and different price points. Nusa may not be the glamour pick, but there is logic to the link. Young, flexible, technically gifted, and potentially ready for the Premier League.

Our View

From a Spurs perspective, this feels like the sort of move supporters can get excited about. Nusa is not being talked up purely on hype. There is a proper skill set there, and the report highlights exactly why he is attractive, “dribbling, playing through balls and shooting from distance”. Tottenham need more of that. Too often, attacking play can become predictable when there are no one-v-one specialists or players willing to take responsibility in tight spaces.

If De Zerbi really wants to sharpen the frontline, this makes sense. A 21-year-old with top-level experience, World Cup exposure and the ability to play across the attack is the kind of profile smart clubs should pursue. Supporters will also like the fact he seems upward-bound rather than already fully formed. There is something to work with here.

Of course, links to Rafael Leao and Savinho will grab more headlines, but Nusa has the look of a deal that could age very well. He may not arrive as the finished article, but Spurs do not need every signing to be a blockbuster. They need players who fit, improve the squad and can grow into major roles.

If this report is accurate, Tottenham are looking in the right direction. For a fanbase desperate to see fresh, brave attacking football, Nusa looks like a very credible option.
