Reports in Italy claim Roma have sent formal offers for Alexander Sorloth and Enzo Le Fée, but the Giallorossi are not close to reaching agreements with Villarreal or Rennes.

Roma are looking for reinforcements in many departments, especially attack and midfield and Sorloth and Le Fée have emerged as their primary targets.

Sky Sport correspondent Gianluca Di Marzio reports that talks between Roma and Villarreal for Sorloth are ongoing, but the La Liga side don’t want to sell the Norway forward for less than his €38m clause.

As per Corriere dello Sport, Roma have even sent an opening offer for the Villarreal striker.

It is worth €20m and even if the Giallorossi don’t expect to receive the green light from Spain yet, they are confident Villarreal will lower their asking price, given that they’ll need fresh cash after failing to qualify for any European competition.

According to Di Marzio, Roma have also sent a similar offer for Le Fée.

The Italian transfer expert claims the Giallorossi have made a €20m bid, including add-ons for Rennes, but it is still insufficient for the Ligue 1 side.
