Inter Milan are targeting Nicolo Rovella, Samuele Ricci, Adrian Bernabe, and Samuele Ricci as possible replacements for Hakan Calhanoglu should he leave the club this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.

It is becoming an increasingly serious possibility that Inter Milan could sell Hakan Calhanoglu this summer.

Reportedly, big clubs in the Saudi Pro League are eyeing up a move for the Turkish international.

Meanwhile, yesterday reports emerged from Turkey that Istanbul giants Galatasaray have made Calhanoglu a major target.

And Tuttosport confirm that Inter will, at the very least, listen to offers from these suitors. Despite Calhanoglu’s quality on the pitch, injury worries and age have changed his status.

According to Tuttosport, there are four names on Inter’s shortlist of replacements in the event that they sell Calhanoglu. All from within Serie A.

One of the main ideas would be for a like-for-like replacement to come in. Namely, a deep-lying playmaker or a regista.

Lazio’s Nicolo Rovella, Torino’s Samuele Ricci, and Prma’s Adrian Bernabe are all prospective targets in this respect.

Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri could also go a different route, reports Tuttosport.

Rather than signing a midfielder with a similar profile to Calhanoglu, they could move for a player who gives more of a physical, defensive presence.

And in fact that would be the preference of new coach Cristian Chivu.

And according to Tuttosport, Inter have already asked Parma about the possibility of signing midfielder Mandela Keita, a profile that Chivu very much likes after working with him at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.
