Inter Milan are close to launching their highly anticipated U-23 project.
According to Il Giorno via FCInter1908, the reigning Scudetto holders have already laid the groundwork.
The initiative, officially confirmed by club president Beppe Marotta during the latest shareholders meeting, will kick off in the 2025/26 season.
Indeed, Oaktree Capital is keen to provide all the necessary elements to complete this project.
With Christian Chivu no longer in the picture, Andrea Zanchetta is gaining traction.
Indeed, his impressive work with the Under-20 squad and his role in developing players for Primavera hasn’t gone unnoticed.
Another potential candidate is Stefano Vecchi, who boasts extensive experience within Inter’s academy.
Samir Handanovic is the leading candidate to replace Zanchetta at the helm of the Primavera squad.
But that’s only if the latter wins the race for the U-23 manager.

Meanwhile, budget discussions are ongoing.
AC Milan have set a benchmark with their €12 million investment in the youth sector this term.
Furthermore, Inter will need to pay a registration fee of €840,000.
Other star players like Thomas Berenbruch and Luka Topalovic should also occupy prominent roles.
