Revealed: Star forward is Florentino Perez’s €150m Real Madrid target | OneFootball

Earlier this week, Florentino Perez promised to target a Galactico signing if he was re-elected as Real Madrid president this weekend. The 79-year-old announced that a €150m offer would be submitted for an unnamed player, which has led to supporters and the media alike speculating about the identity of the star, who would be the club’s record signing were he to join.

Perez ruled out a number of players when pressed on the matter, which led to the belief that the chosen one would be Paris Saint-Germain’s Vitinha or Joao Neves. But as it turns out, it was exactly one of the names that was dismissed that Real Madrid are planning to move for in the event that the current president remains in charge.

As per Diario AS, the player in question is Michael Olise, whom Real Madrid have been linked with in recent months. The 24-year-old, who is off the back of a stellar season which consisted of 22 goals and 26 assists in 52 appearances across all competitions, is seen by Perez as the ideal player to begin the club’s new era.

Bayern Munich have no plans to sell

The problem that Perez would face is that Bayern Munich have publicly made it clear in the past few months that Olise is not for sale at any price. Even if a €150m offer is submitted as the current Real Madrid president has promised, the likelihood is that it is thrown out without a second thought.

If that does happen, Perez and Real Madrid would look to use Olise to put pressure on Bayern to sell. It is unclear whether the France international would want to move to the Bernabeu this summer, but what’s clear is that efforts would certainly be made to convince him if there are any doubts.
