Inter Milan president Beppe Marotta has reportedly turned down an opportunity to meet Serie A refereeing chief Gianluca Rocchi.
According to Corriere della Sera via FCInter1908, the Nerazzurri chief will not attend the upcoming meeting.
Despite being on the verge of winning the Serie A title, Inter Milan have fallen victim to awful refereeing decisions way too often this season.
Only last weekend, Gianluca Manganiello denied the San Siro giants three points in a highly controversial clash against Atalanta.
In addition to letting La Dea’s dubious equalizer stand, the 45-year-old also failed to award a clear penalty to Cristian Chivu’s side.
Needless to say, his decisions sparked outrage among the Inter hierarchy.
Scandalous refereeing decisions have plagued not only Inter but also several other Serie A clubs this season.
Therefore, several club officials have requested a meeting with Gianluca Rocchi to address this long-standing issue.
However, furious with the timing, Beppe Marotta will not attend the meeting.
Indeed, the Nerazzurri bigwig believes that the session comes too late to change anything, with only eight games left to play.
