The start of Guadalajara's preseason for the 2026 Clausura is fast approaching, and as part of the squad's strengthening, the return of a striker who was on loan and showed remarkable growth during this period has been made official. Ricardo Marín will be one of the attacking options available to the Rebaño Sagrado for the upcoming tournament.
The '4K' arrived at Chivas for the 2023 Apertura and played in three tournaments, scoring nine goals, including the 4,000th goal in Guadalajara's history in Liga MX. During his first spell with the Rojiblancos, Marín mainly played as a center forward and second striker, although he also played as a right winger.
The Mexico City native is 27 years old and is left-footed. He spent the last two seasons with Puebla, where he played 32 games, scored nine goals, and provided three assists.
Among his most memorable moments in a Guadalajara shirt is the brace he scored against Atlas in the 4-1 win on Matchday 12 of the 2023 Apertura.
What will Ricardo Marín bring to Gabriel Milito's Chivas?
The main strengths of '4K' are undoubtedly his support play and his movement inside the box. The left-footed player has always been known as a striker who moves around a lot outside the box to get involved in the team's passing game. In addition, something that made him stand out during his time at La Franja was his ability to move around inside the box to find shooting opportunities.
His arrival brings a different profile to the Rojiblanco attack, as he is an associative striker who can share the front line with someone else and also complement other profiles within the Guadalajara squad.
