Rio Ferdinand sends message of encouragement to Real Madrid star | OneFootball

Former Manchester United and England star Rio Ferdinand has early this week sent a message the way of a member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid.

The player in question? Arda Güler.

Youngster Arda has of course seen his name emerge as an altogether prominent one in the chatter surrounding Real Madrid over the last couple of months.

This comes amid the understanding that the Turkish international is being readied for an altogether more prominent role in Los Blancos’ XI in 2025/26.

Xabi Alonso hinted at as much during the recently-completed Club World Cup, a tournament at which Arda played a leading part.

The 20-year-old has enjoyed an impressive physical transformation over the last 12 months, now looking far more prepared to deal with the rigours of senior football.

Arda showed off as much once more over the weekend, courtesy of a photo on his official Instagram account.

And as alluded to above, since showcasing his approval has been ex-England international Rio Ferdinand.

Taking to the comments section of Arda’s post, Ferdinand wrote:

‘Flexing the new muscles,’ accompanied by a series of emojis.
