River return to work on Wednesday before a pre-season in Alicante from Sunday, with several notable absences on the squad list.

According to SuperDepor.com, president Stefano Di Carlo has launched an aggressive rebuild with a 13-player cull. Loans for Kendry Páez and Matías Viña have ended, and at least two new signings are sought this week.

Marcos Acuña, Lucas Martínez Quarta, Tobías Ramírez and Facu González are confirmed for the camp. After the World Cup, Santiago Beltrán, Nicolás Otamendi and Gonzalo Montiel are due, with Beltrán possibly reporting later amid Dibu Martínez injury doubts.

Aníbal Moreno, Fausto Vera, Lucas Silva, Juan Cruz Meza and Tomás Galván are in midfield. Mauro Arambarri is travelling to Argentina to sign. Fattori has been sounded out, but Coudet prefers Betis’s Nelson Deossa, and Ángel Correa is viewed as close.

Up front, Facundo Colidio and Seba Driussi are available. Joaquín Freitas has a week's licence and could be sold to raise funds. River aim for Gio Simeone, plus another striker and a wide option, with Lucas Beltrán under consideration.

Franco Armani must now decide whether to finish his deal to year end or leave, with Beltrán holding the shirt. Juanfer’s situation hinges on his World Cup. Maxi Salas, Giuliano Galoppo and Paulo Díaz will not travel and must resolve exits, while Castaño is similar with resolution due in a month. Others may remain while moves are arranged, and Ian Subiabre and Lautaro Rivero have offers and could travel to Alicante.
