Robert Lewandowski has chosen his next move, with the 37-year-old free agent set to sign for Chicago Fire on a two-year deal, The Athletic reports.
The MLS side are third in the Eastern Conference after 15 matches, and their squad includes former Lille forward Jonathan Bamba.
Lewandowski hit 19 goals in all competitions for Barcelona last season, when the club were Spanish champions. The move would be his first experience outside Europe.
He started in Poland at Znicz Prszkow from 2006-2008, then Lech Poznan from 2008-2010. He moved to Germany, playing for Dortmund from 2010-2014 and Bayern from 2014-2022, where he became one of the leading strikers of his generation.
He is Poland’s most-capped player on 167 appearances and record scorer with 89 goals, and the national team failed to reach the 2026 World Cup.
