Roma recently made Robinio Vaz official.
The player has chosen the number 78 shirt and is ready to begin his adventure with the new jersey.
As usual, the Giallorossi shared the player’s first comments on their YouTube channel.
Regarding his initial impressions of his arrival in Rome, the player said: “Thank you, it’s an honor to be here, I thank the club for the invitation. I attended the match against Torino and I think it was a great game.”
Regarding what this transfer means for him and his future, he said: “For me, it’s a moment of joy, which will help me grow. I think I have something to prove here.”
He also spoke about the value football has for him: “I’ve wanted to play since I was little; for me, it’s a passion, more than a job: I can’t find any other words.”
Regarding Roma, he said: “I already knew Roma; I know they play in one of the largest stadiums in Italy and have won nine Italian Cups.”
Like Koné, Robinio Vaz comes from the Parisian suburbs, and there, football is experienced differently. Born in 2007, Vaz said: “I played neighborhood games that were attended by many people. They were inter-neighborhood matches, and I felt a lot of pressure.”
He also spoke about his new coach: “Gasperini has attacking DNA. As a striker, I’m happy to be part of his team.”
He tried to paint a portrait of his strengths: “My greatest strengths are speed, aerial play, and finishing.”
He concluded with a thank you and a message for his new fans: “I’m happy to be here, and I thank the Friedkins for having me. I can’t wait to meet the fans. Forza Roma!”
