A year ago, Santiago Castro reached 10 goals between the league (8) and the Coppa Italia (2), also adding 5 assists, confirming his ability to be decisive in multiple aspects of the game.
His performances have attracted the attention of scouts from major clubs, with clubs such as Chelsea, Juventus, Milan, Inter Milan, and Roma eyeing him.
Bologna, however, feels secure: in January, they officially announced the Argentine striker’s contract renewal until 2030, thus establishing a sort of barrier against potential attacks.
According to Il Resto del Carlino, although the Rossoblu are ready to evaluate potential offers, they have no intention of selling their player.
Inter, who could sell Thuram, and AC Milan, who are looking for a striker, are the two main Italian clubs interested. Roma, waiting for clarification on the management situation, and Juventus, where Spalletti appears to have little faith in David and Openda, could also make an appearance.
Interest from England shouldn’t be overlooked, as Bologna has already sent several young talents there and could guarantee a higher fee. Despite the interest, however, the Rossoblu doesn’t appear willing to put Castro on the market unless a truly irresistible offer arrives.
