Roma, after completing the Castro deal with Bologna, is looking for Celik’s replacement on the right flank.

A player who can complete a currently under-resourced department, given that Angelino and Salah Eddine are on their way out, leaving only Wesley and Rensch at Gasperini’s disposal.

The 2004-born player currently belongs to Sporting Lisbon, where he has played 2,954 minutes, 920 of which in the Champions League, adding one goal and three assists.

Roma’s interest in Fresneda is increasingly confirmed. According to Corriere dello Sport, the Spanish right-back is valued between €15 and €18 million. The 2004-born player has the right characteristics to play alongside Gasperini: he’s a winger capable of occupying the entire flank, skilled in one-on-one situations, and also capable of defensively.

Roma is working diplomatically to reduce the price tag set by Sporting Lisbon. D’Amico, after Castro, hopes to provide Gasperini with further reinforcements for the team’s training camp in Wales. This is especially true given that the start of the season is less than a month away.
