Roma clarify Juric stance as De Rossi return rumours intensify | OneFootball

Roma are willing to stick with coach Ivan Juric despite a rough run of results over the last few matches and despite rumours linking club legend Daniele De Rossi with a sensational return to the Stadio Olimpico just a few weeks after he was dismissed as head coach.

Roma have not won in any of their last three matches in all competitions and have picked up just one victory in their last five outings.

Following Sunday’s 1-0 loss at home to Inter, the Giallorossi have now won two of their last three matches, following the 1-0 defeat by Elfsborg in the Europa League prior to the international break.

Reports Roma prepared to stand by Juric

According to reports in Italy on Monday evening, Juric’s job is not currently at risk, although that situation could still change depending on future results.

Roma have must-win matches against Dynamo Kyiv in the Europa League on Thursday and then against Fiorentina in Serie A on Sunday. Though Roma are reportedly happy with Juric for now, Calciomercato.com suggest that his long-term future could be reviewed if the team suffer back-to-back losses.

Meanwhile, De Rossi, who was replaced by Juric in mid-September, remains the current favourite to take over at the Olimpico if the current coach is dismissed in the near future.
