Roma close to sealing Mats Hummels move | OneFootball

Serie A giants Roma are now close to sealing a move for former Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels.

The German has been linked with the likes of Brighton, Mallorca, Bologna and Milan in recent months as he was offered to multiple clubs, but he constantly waited to make a decision. Even for Roma, Hummels waited for a better offer but it seems as if he will join the Giallorossi.

Gianluca di Marzio has confirmed the Hummels is close to joining Roma and contacts have now been accelerated to close the move. The transfer has reached an advanced stage and is expected to go through soon.

Hummels will sign the one-year deal that is ready for him and if all goes to plan, he will be a Roma player after the club managed to re-establish contact after the exit of Chris Smalling to the Middle East. Kostas Manolas could still return to the club.
