Roma are seriously considering handing over the team to Massimiliano Allegri at the end of the season.
Allegri, who’s currently a free agent, is currently the favorite to take over the Giallorossi’s bench for the 2025/26 season. His relatively young age, combined with his extensive success and experience in Serie A, has made him the frontrunner in a race that also includes seasoned veteran: Carlo Ancelotti.
According to Corriere dello Sport, if Massimiliano Allegri remains available in the coming weeks, further discussions are expected with Giovanni Branchini, his agent and close personal friend.
The capital club is reportedly prepared to make significant concessions to secure a high-profile manager. Interim coach Claudio Ranieri, set to take on a senior advisory role after the season, could play a key role in negotiations thanks to his strong rapport with Allegri.
However, the main competition comes from AC Milan, who have been closely monitoring Allegri as a potential replacement for Paulo Fonseca.
