Roma expected to play friendly against fellow Friedkin club Everton on August 10

There are reports Roma will play a pre-season friendly against Everton on August 10, a curious situation when the Friedkin Group are about to own both clubs.

It is now confirmed that Friedkin are in the process of a takeover bid for the Toffees, which could be completed over the next few weeks, if not days.

Dan and Ryan Friedkin could therefore be in the stands to celebrate that event when Roma and Everton play each other.

Friedkin Group to run both Roma and Everton

Details are scarce, as neither club has yet announced the friendly, but it is named in the list of matches set to be aired by beIN Sports Australia.

They set the date as August 10 and it would seem to be scheduled in England.

It makes sense, as Daniele De Rossi’s Roma will have some of their pre-season training in Burton’s St. George’s Park centre, on track to fly back on the evening of August 10.

The Giallorossi begin their Serie A season against Cagliari on August 18.
