The youngster had a promising pre-season, but something must have happened in training or with the coach, as he has been completely discarded after a pair of underwhelming displays. The Ukrainian marksman is arguably coming off his best display yet, even though he didn’t score versus Sassuolo. He has his flaws, but he can produce if he’s spoon-fed and gets in a rhythm. It’ll surely be harder to offload him rather than the loanee. Some sound temporary solutions tend to emerge in January. They could settle for that before grander moves next summer.
