With reports Paulo Dybala will join Al-Qadsiah for €3-4m, Roma need a replacement, looking towards Matias Fernandez-Pardo of KAA Gent, Nice’s Jeremie Boga and Cyril Ngonge of Napoli.

Sky Sport Italia claim a meeting is taking place tonight between the two clubs, after Dybala accepted the personal terms worth €75m over a three-year contract including bonuses.

Roma are prepared to accept a transfer fee of just €3-4m, well below the €12m release clause in his contract that expired on July 31, with another €2-3m in bonuses.

Now they need a replacement suited to the 4-3-3 formation that Daniele De Rossi want to impose.

Dybala exit opens door to new-look Roma

A new name on the list is Fernandez-Pardo, a 19-year-old Belgian who plays for KAA Gent and was already linked with Lazio and Milan earlier in the summer.

He has already scored two goals in six competitive appearances this season.

Players with more experience of Serie A include Boga of OGC Nice, who already played for Atalanta and Sassuolo before his €17m transfer to France in 2023.

A cheaper alternative is Ngonge, who has not impressed Antonio Conte at Napoli since making the move from Hellas Verona for €18m plus bonuses in January.
