Roma said in a statement on Tuesday that they have triggered the purchase option for Donyell Malen after an impressive loan spell. The Dutch forward joined from Aston Villa in winter.
The Serie A side finished third, and his form helped secure Champions League qualification.

The transfer is estimated at €25 million, on top of an initial two million euros loan fee. Malen is now contracted until 2030.
He adapted swiftly in Italy, scoring 15 goals and supplying three assists in 20 matches.
He emerged as the most effective winter signing across Europe’s major leagues, powering Roma’s late rise up the table.
