Roma youngster Antonio Arena discusses stellar senior debut: “I’ve already learned a lot from Gasperini.”

Roma was defeated by Torino and eliminated from the Coppa Italia in the round of 16.

Even on a bad day, however, Gasperini and the fans had something to smile about.

Antonio Arena, making his debut for the Giallorossi, headed home with his first touch of the ball. After the match, the striker spoke to Mediaset.

“A beautiful moment. I felt a little nervous, but I just focused on playing. Wesley sent in a nice cross and I scored,” the striker said, describing his debut goal.

Speaking about his relationship with Gasperini, Arena emphasized the importance of daily work: “I’ve played four games on the bench with him and a few training sessions, but I’ve already learned a lot. He’s won so many games and developed so many strong players. I want to keep working and hope to continue like this.”
