Another comprehensive victory for Chelsea as they thrashed Shamrock Rovers 5-1 in the Europa Conference League match. Their next game is scheduled against Everton in the Premier League in an away package this weekend.

The Blues are second on the points table with 34 points after 16 rounds of play. They are just two points off the table-topper Liverpool, though the latter has one extra match in hand. As things stand, Enzo Maresca’s side is giving high competition to Arne Slot’s men for the league title.

Defence

As it’s a league game, it’s quite predictable that Robert Sánchez will return between the sticks at the cost of Filip Jorgensen. Since Marc Cucurella is suspended for this game, Enzo Maresca might have to shift his players accordingly.

Malo Gusto could be used as the left-back with Moises Caicedo taking care of the right full-back role. Levi Colwill and Tosin Adarabioyo should step in as the centre-backs in the starting lineup.

Midfield

Enzo Fernández has been an automatic pick in the middle of the park for a while now. To accompany him, Romeo Lavia is the prime contender as things stand.

Attack

Enzo Maresca wouldn’t want to show any merce on the front line as his side remains a contender for the Premier Leauge title. As all the players are fresh, they should take onto the field to extract all three points out of the match.

Pedro Neto operates on the right wing with Cole Palmer be seen in his usual spot. Jadon Sancho provides width on the other flank with Nicolas Jackson hovering around the opposition’s penalty box.

Wesley Fofana and Reece James are out with hamstring problems, while Mykhaylo Mudryk remains unavailable after being charged with a doping offence last week.
