Valencia are weighing a return for Largie Ramazani within defined terms, with the Belgian keen to continue and Leeds not planning to keep him. Guido Rodríguez is viewed as the priority, for whom a greater effort would be made.
According to AS, Ron Gourlay, on a European trip, has a meeting with Leeds executives to learn the conditions for Ramazani’s exit. Leeds, where he has two years left on his deal, do not see him suited to the Premier League, so Valencia hope Leeds will present a permanent sale option.
Internal reviews highlight mixed conclusions. Ramazani was an impact option in the second half of the season, scoring six and assisting one, yet some late season attitudes, including against Atlético at Mestalla, were frowned upon, and until Sadiq reappeared in January he played with too much freedom.
Gourlay will take the final call on continuity once Leeds’ demands are clear, which is expected shortly and may already be known. He is mindful of those contradictions, and within Valencia’s budget the market offers few 25-year-old wingers with six goals.
Leeds signed Ramazani from Almería in 2024 for €7 million. He has played 31 matches for Leeds, the same number as for Valencia.
Meanwhile, team-mates Jesús Vázquez and Javi Guerra have shown support on social media. Guerra echoed the “Se queda” message popularised by Gerard Piqué about Neymar, replying to Ramazani’s Instagram thanks to Mestalla as Gourlay travelled.
