Former Milan star Ronaldinho has praise for Rafael Leao, insisting the Portugal international is ‘one of the players I most enjoy watching.’

Leao has been criticised by the media and fans in recent months for his inconsistent performances, which also saw him occasionally dropped from the starting XI by both Paulo Fonseca and Sergio Conceicao.

However, he received a boost from a great entertainer of the past in the Milan jersey, as Ronaldinho assured he is a fan.

“There are great players at Milan and it is a good team, so I think they can do great things next season,” the Brazilian told Sky Sport Italia.

He is back in Italy to present a new wine product and was asked if he had any advice for under-fire Rafael Leao.

“Leao does not need my advice, he is a great player. He is one of the players I most enjoy watching.”

The 25-year-old has contributed 10 goals and nine assists in 43 competitive games so far this season.

Ronaldinho, who recently celebrated his 45th birthday, wore the Milan jersey from the summer of 2008 to January 2011.

He registered 26 goals and 29 assists in 95 competitive appearances for the Rossoneri, winning the Scudetto in the 2010-11 campaign.
