At the Velodromo Attilio Pavesi, Suzanne Bakker’s AC Milan hosted Lazio in a Serie A Women clash following the international break. The Rossonere secured a 4-2 win, spurring them on as they look to push on through the season. The game was quickly put on the right track thanks to a brace from Van Dooren, followed by a Lazio response from former AC Milan player Martina Piemonte, before Renzotti and Ijeh sealed the victory. After frustrating losses in comebacks against Roma (1-2) and Fiorentina (4-3), AC Milan earned a well-deserved three points.

Despite Lazio having had more possession, AC Milan defended well and were lethal on the counter: a compact block, high pressing, and lightning-fast transitions. Van Dooren scored her first brace for the Rossonere, Renzotti stood out with a goal and two assists, and Ijeh returned to the scoresheet, capping a performance full of effort and commitment. Numerous chances created signaled clear growth in the final third. With these three points, AC Milan climb the table, moving on from recent uncertainties. Their next tough test comes immediately: AC Milan will host Juventus.

MATCH REPORT The game got off to a fast start at the Velodromo. Just two minutes in, Renzotti set up Van Dooren, who found space in the box and slotted home to make it 1-0 to AC Milan. Lazio dominated possession for much of the half and responded in the 13th minute with Goldoni’s header, well saved by Giuliani. In the 16th minute, Piemonte had a double chance, first blocked by De Sanders, then sending her follow-up wide. Two minutes later, AC Milan struck again on the counter. Renzotti burst down the right and picked out Van Dooren, who calmly scored her second of the match and doubled AC Milan's lead. At 24 minutes, Le Bihan rattled the crossbar from a deep cross, a warning of what was to come. Just four minutes later, she was involved again, feeding Piemonte, who used her strength to hold off De Sanders before turning and finishing with her right foot to make it 2-1. AC Milan absorbed Lazio’s pressure and struck again before the break. In the 41st minute, Ijeh played a perfect through ball for Renzotti, who lifted it delicately over the keeper to make it 3-1. Then, right on 45 minutes, Kyvåg finished off a 2v2 move but the goal was ruled out for offside.

The second half picked up right where it left off, with Van Dooren testing the keeper in the 48th minute, though her right-footed effort was saved comfortably. Two minutes later, AC Milan attacked again. Kyvåg passed to Van Dooren, who linked up with Renzotti, but the midfielder’s shot from a tight angle hit the side of the goal. Lazio pulled one back in the 54th minute from a corner led that to a scramble in the box, and Piemonte pounced to make it 3-2. AC Milan responded straight away in the 61st minute, Van Dooren delivered a cross and Ijeh’s header struck the post. Five minutes later, Lazio were awarded a penalty, but Le Bihan hit the post. The visitors pressed late on, but it was AC Milan who sealed it on the counter once again. In the 78th minute, Van Dooren won the ball high up, played Ijeh through, and she struck with her left-foot beating Durante to make the final score 4-2.
