FLW's Rotherham United fan pundit has given his verdict on whether the club should make a move for former Sheffield Wednesday manager Darren Moore.
Rotherham United are preparing to return to League Two for the first time in 13 years following their relegation from League One.
After a promising start to the campaign, Rotherham sat as high as 11th in the League One table in mid-November, and it looked as though a play-off push could have been on the cards, but they were dragged into the relegation battle after a nightmare winter period.
In a desperate attempt to save their season, the Millers parted company with manager Matt Hamshaw last month and appointed Lee Clark, who had not managed in the EFL since leaving Bury in 2017, as his replacement.
However, Clark was unable to prevent Rotherham's relegation, which was confirmed following a 3-0 defeat at Wigan Athletic last Tuesday night, and it is unclear whether the 53-year-old's short-term contract will be extended beyond the end of the season.
As the Millers weigh up their options, Grimsby Town manager David Artell has been ruled out of the running to take over at the New York Stadium, but one man who could be a potential candidate is former Sheffield Wednesday and Huddersfield Town boss Darren Moore.
Moore has been out of work since leaving Port Vale in December after a run of just three wins from the first 22 games of the campaign left his side bottom of the table, but he did lead the Valiants to automatic promotion from League Two last season, which could make him a suitable fit for Rotherham as they begin life back in the fourth tier.

When asked for his thoughts on the possible appointment of Moore, FLW's Rotherham United fan pundit Tom Eyre admitted that he does not believe he would be the right choice for the Millers, and he also claimed that his links with the club's local rivals Wednesday could count against him.
"Personally, no," Tom told FLW.
"I think Darren Moore is good at what he does.
"I think he gets teams out of tough spots and makes teams hard to beat, but, for me, I can't see Darren Moore being a Rotherham United manager.
"I just think he doesn't really have the capabilities to really rebuild the squad from the ground up, and I don't think he has the nuance to get out of League Two and stay in League One, as has been proven with Port Vale and how much better they were after they got rid of him.
"I think his credentials speak for themselves, particularly when he was at Wednesday, he's always going to have that background.

Given the animosity between the two clubs, it would be a controversial move for Rotherham to appoint a former Wednesday manager, but Moore could be a strong candidate for the job at the New York Stadium.
Moore has successfully rebuilt both the Owls and Port Vale following relegation and led them to promotion from League One and League Two respectively, so he could be the perfect man to oversee what will be a crucial summer for the Millers after their dismal season.
Rotherham supporters may understandably have reservations about whether Moore would be able to take them forward long-term, but it is essential that they get out of the fourth tier as quickly as possible, and he could be the man to achieve that objective.
