FC Porto’s online ticketing was overwhelmed as supporters scrambled for seats for Saturday’s sold-out home match against Alverca.
According to O Jogo, a win at Reboleira combined with Sporting’s draw against Aves SAD left Porto three points from the title, prompting the surge.

The club had already declared the fixture sold out before that sequence of results, when a title chance looked within reach on the visit to Vila das Aves.
With the match sold out, fans can only wait for season-ticket holders to release their seats, which would free up limited spots.
A virtual queue formed on the club’s portal, peaking at more than 3000 people. The Alverca game is scheduled for Saturday at 20:30.
