Rwanda: Djibril Ouattara is reborn at APR FC
The adventure in Rwanda has been nothing short of spectacular for Cheikh Djibril Ouattara. The Burkinabè international quickly established himself as the main attacking weapon for APR FC in the Rwanda Premier League.
His numbers are impressive: 10 goals and 2 assists in 17 matches. Djibril Ouattara has regained his confidence and his scoring touch wearing the colors of APR FC.On March 7, the 26-year-old striker netted a brace in a thrilling 2-2 draw against Marine. Djibril Ouattara has been decisive almost every week, driving APR FC to third place in the standings, just behind Al-Hilal and Al-Merrikh.
His brief five-month stint, marked by a contract termination with JS Kabylie, is now behind him. The Burkinabè striker, who previously played for Berkane and Olympique Safi in the Moroccan league, is now shining in Rwanda. With this consistent form and ongoing brilliance, Djibril Ouattara, who has 14 international caps, could soon earn a recall to the Burkina Faso national team.
