Ryan Roberto accepts offer as Flamengo agree sale to Shakhtar Donetsk | OneFootball

Ryan Roberto has accepted Shakhtar Donetsk’s offer, clearing the way for Flamengo to sell the academy forward. The clubs had already reached agreement after several weeks of talks. He is under contract until March 2027 but was not renewing and could sign a pre-contract in October.

According to Globo.com, Shakhtar will pay 9.5 million euros fixed plus 500,000 euros in bonuses if targets are met, taking the total to 10 million euros. Flamengo will also retain 10% of the player’s economic rights for any future sale.

Talks accelerated on Friday with a club-to-club accord, and the player’s camp gave approval on Tuesday after meeting him and his family. The delay stemmed from competing proposals from Lille and Fiorentina.

About a month ago Flamengo rejected approaches from Shakhtar, CSKA and Lille, as there was no agreement between the representatives and the club. Of the fee, 70% goes to Flamengo and 30% to Athletico, who hold a stake.

Flamengo offered a renewal, which the forward declined, seeking a clearer development plan and a route into the senior side. He was kept out of matches during the stand-off. He has six goals and two assists in 13 under-20 games in 2026.

He made two first-team appearances in 2026 at the start of the Carioca. In 2025 he scored 22 in 37 across the club’s two leading youth levels. São Paulo-born, he joined Athletico at 10 and moved to Flamengo in 2023.
